every time i see some fuckhead (male or female) make a sexist comment on facebook, i go through a three-step reaction

  1. white-hot rage, which leaves me sputtering and wishing for a punching bag (or, at the very least, that person to USE as a punching bag)
  2. once i calm down enough to be able to type more than “fuck you you fucking fucking fuck, i hope you die boiled in vinegar after having your entire body covered in papercuts”, i come up with a well-worded response which usually elicits an equally sexist or gaslit retort, and the process continues until the (usually male) assailant throws out a “calm down, is it that time of the month?” at which time i either (a) unfriend the dickwad (if i am friends with said sack of shit), or (b) unsubscribe from the conversation and let the douchecanoe further look like the awesome slice of humanity they are (if i am not friends with them) 
  3. i sit there and thank genetics that i got the stubborn, independent, and freethinking genes in my family which have allowed me to become the strong person i am.  and i thank everyone in my life that DOESN’T pull this shit with me
